Lesson 11 我有手机。I have a cell phone.
本子 běnzi Notebook / 课本 kèběn Textbook / 词典 cídiǎn Dictionary
/ 有 yǒu Have /
有 yǒu means "to have" in Chinese and is used quite frequently. In the negative form, it
collocates with 没 méi instead of
不 bù. Both 没 méi and 不 bù mean the same thing, "no" or "not". As a general rule, 没 méi tends to be used
with having something, such as an object or an experience, whereas 不 bù is used more with direct actions.
